How You Will Make An Impact
  • Lead planning and technical execution for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities
  • Direct process design efforts including feasibility studies, master planning, detailed design, and commissioning
  • Manage project scope, budget, and scheduling for process engineering components
  • Conduct process modeling, hydraulic analysis, mass balance calculations, and development of PFDs and P&IDs
  • Specify and select process equipment and layouts across technologies such as activated sludge, MBRs, filtration, disinfection
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff
  • Support client engagement efforts, including proposal development and technical presentations
  • Collaborate across disciplines with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and I&C engineers
  • Assist in regulatory coordination and permitting requirements
  • Perform field work during design, construction, and startup phases to ensure operational excellence

Are You a Water/Wastewater Process Engineering Rock Star?

Required Qualifications:
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in water or wastewater treatment process engineering
  • P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Strong command of process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X, WaterCAD, SewerCAD)
  • Proficiency in PFD and P&ID development and experience with tools like AutoCAD or Revit
  • Deep understanding of various water and wastewater treatment technologies
  • Proven leadership in project execution and cross-functional team coordination
  • Excellent communication skills for technical writing, client interaction, and presentations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) credential
  • Recognized SME in technologies like MBRs, biosolids, filtration, or disinfection
  • Business development experience, including proposal wins and client acquisition
  • Active participation in organizations like AWWA or WEF
