Job Summary
The Knowledge Systems Analyst plays a key role in connecting system administrators, product owners, and enterprise knowledge stakeholders. This position requires effective communication and systems thinking to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and content strategies. You will help structure, manage, and deliver knowledge across COS, ensuring it is accessible and aligned with organizational goals.
In addition to supporting system and product alignment, this role involves data stewardship, including preparing datasets for analytics and advanced computational systems. You will also design taxonomy and metadata to optimize how knowledge is stored, shared, and used.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000 to $80,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.

Position Location Policy
- General Location: Open to candidates within the United States.
- Hybrid Requirement (if within specific cities): If the selected candidate resides in Cleveland, OH, Buffalo, NY, or Albany, NY, they are expected to work on-site 2 days per week at the nearest KeyBank office (non-branch location).
- Remote Option: If the selected candidate lives outside of KeyBank's geographic footprint, the position will be considered fully remote.

Key Responsibilities
Knowledge Management & Governance
- Create and maintain taxonomies and controlled vocabularies (e.g., terms, tagging systems).
- Design and implement metadata and tagging strategies to enhance searchability, discoverability, and content retrieval.
- Aid in modular content strategies, including chunking for learning materials, knowledge articles, and digital assets.
- Define and uphold standards for metadata, accessibility, and content lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with IT, communications, learning & enablement, and operations to deliver consistent, user-centric knowledge experiences.
Systems & Analytics
- Evaluate and recommend platforms for knowledge sharing, learning, and internal communications.
- Own data hygiene processes deduplication, normalization, enrichment-to ensure integrity for analytics and AI readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Continue alignment between non-technical stakeholders and IT, ensuring clarity and shared priorities.
- Partner with SMEs and product owners to align tools, resources, and governance strategies with enterprise objectives.
- Champion best practices in knowledge management, ensuring content is captured, structured, and delivered in scalable, user-friendly formats.
Basic Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding and direct application of enterprise knowledge management principles and systems.
- Proven experience in taxonomy development and metadata design across platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Jira).
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate or Flow.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing data for intelligent systems (cleaning, labeling, structuring).
- Expertise in content strategy and modular learning design.
- Knowledge of enterprise search optimization and indexing techniques.
- Understanding of information architecture and UX principles for knowledge systems.
