Role: Lead .Net Full Stack Developer

Location: Onsite (Austin, Houston, San Antonio)
Location: Austin, Houston, and San Antonio that candidates can report to. If a candidate is local to any of these 3 cities and are available for 100% onsite, they will be considered for this request.
Job Description Summary
This role is a senior full-stack developer position responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and optimization of high-complexity web and Windows applications. The candidate will work extensively with C#, .NET (Blazor/MVC), HTML5, JavaScript, and SQL Server, while also driving automation, database performance tuning, and legacy data migrations. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with user needs and agency objectives, with strong preference for candidates experienced in state government systems such as CAPPS or OSSE s Orchard application.

Domain Experience (Preferred): Texas State Agencies, CAPPS or state financial systems, OSSE Orchard application
Responsibilities:
- Perform highly advanced (senior-level) computer programming work, including research, design, and implementation of web-based applications.
- Perform research and analysis required for specialized programs or routines to supplement and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML, HTML5, ASP.NET/C#
- Design, develop and implement specialized programs or routines to supplement and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML, HTML5, ASP.NET(Blazor)/C#.
- Write, test, evaluate, debug, and document complex programs, including client/server and web-based applications using C# (.Net), MVC, and/or SQL.
- Provide support of Texas Department of Agriculture applications software through diagnosis of problems and implementation of changes to resolve problems and maintain software at the most current level.
- Work closely and coordinate with other developers, business analysts, project leadership, and business areas to validate requirements and understand technical issues and limitations and model solutions that meet the functional and technical requirements.
- Recommend improvements and identify risks to processes for application development projects, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- 7 years of Required experience with highly complex (senior-level) software development and web programming to enhance user experience
- 7 years of Required experience with functional and performance automation of APIs, web services, and web application using C# .net framework, MVC, and SQL server
- 7 years of Required experience in design and development of web-based and windows-based applications using various .NET HTML, HTML, HTML5, ASP.NET(Blazor)/C#, JavaScript, SQL, and CSS
- 5 years of Required experience with database performance tuning and legacy data migration for web-based and windows-based applications
- 5 years of Required experience using Azure DevOps and AWS DevOps
- 5 years of Required experience working in Agile-based development environment
Preferred Skills:
- 1 year of Preferred experience working with Washington D.C. s Office of the Special Superintendent of Education (OSSE) s Orchard application
