GeoLogics is seeking a Project Manager, with Software Development projects experience, who will work as part of a project team, and with the customers and stakeholders, to understand the business needs and translate them into meaningful requirements that can be used by the Technology Teams to develop a solution.

Hourly rate:

$65 - $80 per hour DOE (w2 non-benefited, includes 401k)

$85 - $100 per hour (c2c must be your company)

$160,000 per year (with full-benefits)

5. Agile/Waterfall methodologies
6. Workflow
7. Risk management plans
8. Excellent Project Leader
9. Knowledge of ITAR and Export control are pluses

One or more:

1. SAFe or similar certifications
2. Project Management certification (PMP)
3. Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
4. Lean certifications

(must be willing to do or learn Lean Agile/SCRUM/SAFe)

Day-to-Day PM Responsibilities:

• Lead project initiation, definition, planning, coordination, and delivery of key commitments
• Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope, in conjunction with the company s commitments and customer expectations
• Coordinate with senior leaders and executives to define business objectives, determine scope and funding needs, and establish business cases supporting project investments
• Define deliverables, scope of work, and develop detailed project schedules to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor and business objectives and goals are met
• Build highly effective project teams and establish effective relationships with stakeholders
• Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.
• Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals
• Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery of product capabilities that meet customer requirements
• Ability to utilize project management tools like MS Project or Jira
• Experience with Waterfall and LEAN project execution methodologies
• Experience supporting phased gating execution
• Make timely and sound business decisions that support the business objectives
• Summarize and present key information and data driven metrics to senior leadership enabling them to make decisions
• Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives
• Participate in continuous process improvement and lean initiatives.
• Program Management skills to provide direction and leadership to team members who do not report to you directly (managing without authority)
• Manage budgets and schedules
• Follow established processes and procedures and influence policy, practice and procedure
• Manage and assess project risk
• Maintain project repositories
• Manage project resources
• Identify and engage appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project execution; Coaches/mentors team members and lower-level professionals to ensure quality work products
• Manage project resources
• Lead regular project reviews with customers and stakeholders, including senior IT and business leaders
• Coordinate and maintain program communications
• Document and review lessons learned
• Identify and establish effective internal and external relationships to accomplish project objectives
• Define and manage readiness elements that support achieving business and financial objectives
• Ensure project results are of the highest caliber, meeting technical and behavioral objectives, business case targets, and planned value

• Proven success working on Enterprise level IT projects or initiatives
• Ability to managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven Solution Delivery in Waterfall and Agile Frameworks
• Experience developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
• Experience leading across multiple organizations and levels, as well as across multiple geographic regions
• Demonstrated skill leading and participating in virtual meetings
• Ability to interface directly with senior leadership to positively influence and drive alignment
• Ability to execute operationally with the tenacity to push through obstacles and realize the desired impact in a timely manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working under dynamic and transforming work environments
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
