Job Description
-Strong Active Directory Administrator or Engineer Experience
-Hands on experience with an AD migration using Quest Migration Tools (Quest Binary Tree is #1 )

These will be more senior level engineers reporting to the Service Desk but working closely with our Active Directory and Field Support teams. They will direct up to 5 staff augment resources on processes, best practices and act as SMEs and escalation points. They will be responsible for providing project statuses, metrics, and issue tracking. They will work with cross-functional teams to resolve known issues with the tools, integration, and migrations. Experience with a multi-domain migration with Quest is a MUST.
- Broad understanding of Quest AD Migration tools
- Experience with an Enterprise Active Directory migration across multiple domains to a single domain
- Scripting/Error log analysis
- High technical Active Directory background to include GPOs, local policies, and replication
- PC experience to include VPN support, ACLs, identity/profile management
- Scheduling migration tasks and coordinating manual tasks
- Customer communication at a base user level
- Critical thinking skill and able to understand trends and provide solutions
- Able to operate in an unstructured environment with minimal direction
Diagnose a trend and troubleshooting - resources will be working together. Quest Binary tree coding. Tracking and in depth knowledge of shell scripting. MS Active directory domains to a single domain.
Top 3 critical skills: AD understanding of structure old and new. Azure and on-prem vs cloud. Quest Binary Tree - understanding how to migrate and schedule the jobs that run every day and when things fail. Tree is very manual and when a job is scheduled they have to manually push it out and there are people that will manage that but these people need to deep dive into the failures. Binary tree certifications are helpful, to understand the interworking. Troubleshooting a non-technical way to understand.
