Job Details

Role is 3 days onsite in washington DC.
Looking for local consultant within 30-35 miles.
6-12+months contract
Rate $50/hour on 1099 max can offer.
local DL would be needed from VA/MD/DC.

  • Analyze requirements and create test plans, test cases, and test scripts

  • Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT)

  • Execute and maintain automated test scripts (if applicable)

  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA

  • Validate API, database, and backend data where required

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices

  • Support UAT and production validation activities

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC

  • Hands-on experience with manual testing

  • Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, ALM)

  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla)

  • Basic understanding of SQL and database testing

  • Familiarity with API testing (Postman, SoapUI)

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
