Compensation: $67/HR - $73/HR

Job Introduction

Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead small to medium-scale technology projects and support larger IT initiatives under the guidance of the Executive Director. This role is key in aligning IT deliverables with business objectives, ensuring smooth execution, and driving successful outcomes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver impactful technology solutions.

What You'll Do


  • Manage IT projects through the full lifecycle - from initiation and planning to execution and closure.

  • Define scope, deliverables, milestones, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risks, and resource allocation plans.

  • Provide clear and timely communication of progress, issues, and decisions to executives and stakeholders.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure on-time and high-quality project delivery.

  • Ensure projects meet IT governance, compliance, security, and regulatory standards.

  • Apply and promote project management best practices, leveraging Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.


What Gets You the Job


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5-7 years of IT project management experience.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors.

  • Knowledge of IT domains such as infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and cybersecurity.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet.


Preferred Experience


  • Background in higher education, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

  • ERP, CRM, or Student Information System (SIS) project experience.

  • Leading enterprise IT transformation initiatives, including cloud migrations.

  • Familiarity with ITIL, process automation, and workflow management platforms.
