About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Data Center/Cloud Architect to lead the transformation of our hybrid infrastructure. This role bridges traditional on-prem data center environments with modern cloud technologies, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions that drive digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead end-to-end hybrid infrastructure strategies across on-prem data centers, private cloud, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Develop reference architectures, design patterns, and governance models for infrastructure services.
- Lead data center modernization and migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum scalability.
- Design for performance, resilience, cost-efficiency, and security in enterprise-level environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance in network architecture, integration, and security, including SD-WAN and data center fabric technologies.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, with a strong foundation in on-premises data centers and recent cloud migration/modernization work.
- Proven hands-on experience with hardware, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage, and networking in traditional data center environments.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud integration.
- Strong background in infrastructure design, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Advanced networking knowledge, including experience with:
- Cisco DNA Center
- Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)
- Cisco SD-WAN / Viptela
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex Layer 2 7 network issues, beyond Level 1 responses.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience working across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Solutions Architect, etc.
- Experience in enterprise IT environments supporting large-scale modernization efforts.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) is a plus.
