AV Technician

Level 1 : O'Fallon, MO, USA

The AV technician will be responsible for onsite multimedia infrastructure and meeting/event support. As an AV technician, you will be responsible for day-to-day audio-visual operations, engaging with clients, and organizing the installation of media infrastructure such as video room codecs, broadcast audio/video hardware, and telecommunication equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work closely with internal Citi businesses. To ensure success as an AV technician, you should have advanced knowledge of audio and video equipment, experience with event management and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Daily Responsibilities:

Provide media support: flawless execution of Audio/Video conferences and broadcast events, by providing technical expertise in the operation of Audio-Visual equipment for small to large scale events. These range from video shoots with multiple cameras and layered graphics, to Global Town Halls.

Troubleshoot equipment and system failures as they arise: A solid understanding of audio and video equipment, signal flow, digital interfaces, and various audio and video formats is essential.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-conference testing to ensure all video and audio components are functioning correctly. Monitor video conferences to maintain audiovisual quality and troubleshoot any disruptions.

Engage Customers: Tech should be able to answer clients questions (both in person, over phone and email) about room setup, A/V and conferencing capabilities and make suggestions for proper setup and use of equipment for successful meetings.

Required Skills:

1-4 years of AV related experience in a professional setting

Digital Audio Mixer operation for live and recorded events. (Yamaha, Behringer, etc.)

Dante Level 1 Certification

DSP troubleshooting (Including Bi-amp, Q-Sys, and other DSP)

Component-level repair experience

EXTRON/AMX room automation experience

Blackmagic ATEM operational experience

Zoom operational experience.

MS Teams operational experience

PTZ Camera operational experience.

Experience in AV integration is welcome

Experience in adjacent fields of media production are welcome

Knowledge of basic principles of sound, video, electricity, light and data.

Understanding of signal flow for audio, video, and control

Candidates should have some experience in a customer-facing time sensitive capacity.

User level knowledge of Bi-amp, Q-sys, Extron HDBaseT systems, Polycom and Cisco Video Conferencing.
