Contract Duration: 6-months
Worksite Location: remote + travel to Houston, TX
Compensation: $37.00 - $112.00 per hour

What you ll do as the Project Manager:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans for material handling equipment (MHE) systems, covering functional testing, performance validation, installation quality, compliance, safety, and integration
  • Coordinate and lead hardware commissioning and system validation efforts
  • Act as the main point of contact between internal engineering teams and external MHE vendors
  • Track testing progress, document results, identify deviations, and support resolution of issues
  • Ensure all systems meet operational, safety, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and safety
  • Support overnight work as needed and travel to Houston, TX if not local


What you ll bring to the Project Manager role:

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse automation, MHE, or industrial systems
  • Proven track record in commissioning and validating automated systems
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, testing protocols, and performance metrics
  • Excellent project coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to assess and articulate IT, system, and controls issues with a focus on compliance
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry compliance standards
  • Experience with large retailers or logistics organizations is a plus
  • Based in or willing to travel to Houston, TX; ability to work overnights when required
