Job Details

Our client is seeking a Product Manager for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX. Will be working on an Onsite schedule. Will lead development of new experiences that will not only transform the business but will shape our digital future. Will define product strategy, develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward. Will work closely with our software teams to define product requirements and coordinate resources from key stakeholders. Will also be responsible for identifying and tracking KPIs as you build these amazing experiences.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 years of experience working in digital / agile product management.
  • 3 years of experience translating customer needs into product features and user interface design to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
  • Significant experience working with design and engineering - managed full stack teams.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
  • MBA or master's degree.
  • 8 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products.

What You Will Be Doing
40% Strategy & Planning
  • Seek to empathize with and understand the end user deeply and use that knowledge to determine the fastest path to deliver value.
  • Translate business goals and end user needs into product strategy.
  • Communicate direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
  • Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value.
  • Continually make recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings.
  • Manage and groom the product backlog.
  • Make future decisions based on the value that will be delivered.
  • Monitor research as well as the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class.
  • Ensure that product directions balance both the user needs and business goals of driving sales, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

40% Delivery & Execution
  • Work with user research and testing team to formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing.
  • Create, prioritize, and accept user stories.
  • Incorporate them into release planning.
  • Make product decisions that drive value daily.
  • Identify and consider pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements.
  • Participate in and leads standups, iteration planning sessions, product demo, and retrospectives.
  • Condense complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders.

20% Team & Stakeholder
  • Foster collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments.
  • Act as a proponent of modern agile development practices.
  • Advocate for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with, and understanding user needs.
  • Work with the product team to continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps.
  • Manage cross functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy.
  • Provide education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience.
  • Guide more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks.
  • Participate in and contributes to learning activities around modern agile design and development core practices (communities of practice).
  • Participate in talent acquisition, development, and retention activities in support of team.
