Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with strong experience with backend testing and manual automation. The ideal Quality Assurance Engineer will be hybrid 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Durham, NC .
Requirements for the Quality Assurance Engineer include:
Execute detailed testing of web applications to uncover bugs, usability issues, and other defects.
Able to design and run test cases and scripts to confirm the functionality, performance and security of web based applications
Conduct API testing with tools like Postman
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to grasp requirements and effectively relay testing results
Identify and supply necessary test data, document and report defects, monitor issues to resolution, and swiftly verify fixes
Participate in Agile development activities, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer include:
4-6 years of experience as a software quality assurance engineer focused on Web and API testing
Advanced knowledge of API testing concepts and tools; Postman
Advanced knowledge of SQL and Power BI
Understands automation scripting, and can do both manual and automated
Works with Agile methodologies (JIRA, Sprint, Kanban) and Agile test management (Xray)
Experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Lambda, CloudWatch or RDS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Compensation for the Quality Assurance Engineer include:
Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000
