Role: Principal, Forecasting (Demand/Commerical Analytics) - Direct Hire
Location: Waltham, MA or Princeton, NJ or New York, NY - Onsite 3 days per week
Overview
We are seeking a senior leader to strengthen and expand our Forecasting practice, which partners primarily with pharmaceutical and biotech organizations. The group provides strategic support through demand forecasting, business development assessments, valuation models, contract modeling, and other finance-focused analyses.
While the team has a strong foundation in building and managing Excel-based models, many projects also leverage advanced tools, including our proprietary forecasting platform that integrates web-based functionality, AI-driven features, and compatibility with other technology solutions. This blend of deep forecasting expertise and innovative technology has fueled the group s growth and positioned it for continued investment.
The incoming leader will be based on the East Coast and work onsite in-office, focusing on scaling the team s people management and client development capabilities, while also contributing to project oversight and delivery during the initial ramp-up period.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead workforce planning, hiring, and onboarding to ensure proper resourcing for current and upcoming projects.
- Train, mentor, and retain onshore staff, while fostering career development for managers and junior team members.
- Partner with offshore leadership (primarily U.S. and India) to create a unified strategy for training, development, and retention.
- Collaborate with practice leaders to allocate resources effectively across client projects.
Client Development & Strategy
- Drive new business acquisition while expanding relationships with existing clients.
- Shape and execute strategic planning for business growth within the Forecasting practice.
- Build long-term client partnerships by providing consultative insights and delivering consistent, high-quality results.
Project Oversight
- Provide senior guidance to ensure the successful delivery of forecasting projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients while empowering internal teams to own execution.
- Bring forward innovative ideas, challenge conventional thinking, and serve as a thought leader to advance the practice s capabilities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Experience
- 8+ years in life sciences forecasting, ideally with exposure to both demand forecasting and commercial analytics.
- Familiarity with life sciences data sources and analytics methodologies.
- Background in Oncology or Rare Disease forecasting strongly preferred.
