12-month W2 Contract

Need:

Experience with Cisco network infrastructure

Soft Skills:

  • Plan, create, and maintain data networks while also keeping the design aligned with corporate architectural standards and recommended methods and procedures.
  • Data engineers are expected to have a wide array of technical expertise, the job also requires critical thinking and the ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Data engineers must also be able to work effectively in collaboration with other data experts and communicate results and recommendations to colleagues without technical backgrounds.
  • Adherence to federally mandated and internal business requirements and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A senior data engineer has 7-10 years of experience in data network engineering and can work independently.
  • They may work directly with business partners and lead projects to design and implement complex data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of large enterprise networks and enterprise network technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of routing protocols, ability advertise and filter route prefixes and redistribute routing information.
  • Configure and deploy routers and switches using provisioning templates as well as generating configurations for unique deployments where a solution does not yet exist.
  • Fundamental understanding for firewall technologies, ability to add/delete network policy, troubleshoot firewall related issues using firewall log entries and validate firewall routing.
  • Have a working knowledge of underlay and overlay network technologies and protocols such as DMVPN and SDWAN.
  • Preform NERC CIP compliance work, add or remove devices from the network and process footprints CRQs to modify configuration.
