Title: SAP EWM Lead
Location: Remote
Rate: $80/hr C2C, $62/hr on W2.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze and understand business requirements related to warehouse management processes, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
* Design and configure SAP EWM solutions tailored to client needs, encompassing process flows, master data setup, integration with ERP and external systems, and custom enhancements.
* Lead workshops and blueprinting sessions with users to gather functional requirements and document process designs.
* Develop functional specifications for customizations, interfaces, and enhancements within SAP EWM.
* Conduct system testing, unit testing, and integration testing; ensure solutions meet quality standards and client expectations.
* Support data migration activities, including mapping legacy data to SAP EWM structures and validating migrated records.
* Provide end-user training, create training documentation, and deliver knowledge transfer sessions for effective adoption of SAP EWM.
* Participate in cut-over planning, go-live support, and hypercare to ensure smooth transition to new warehouse management systems.
* Collaborate with Basis, ABAP, and technical teams for system configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
* Stay informed about SAP EWM updates, new features, and industry best practices to propose continuous improvements.
Technical & Functional Skills:
* Solid experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) implementation in a business environment.
* Understanding of warehouse operations: inventory management, receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
* Expertise in SAP EWM configuration, master data setup, and process optimization.
* Hands-on experience with integration between SAP EWM and SAP ERP (ECC/S4 HANA), Material Management (MM), and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules.
* Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) device integration and mobile warehouse solutions.
* Ability to develop and execute test scripts, validate system functionality, and ensure process compliance.
* Experience with SAP EWM add-ons: Yard Management, Labor Management, Warehouse Automation, and Slotting/Rearrangement.
* Understanding of EWM Monitor, Warehouse Structure, and Resource Management within the SAP platform.
* Experience in data migration and legacy system integration.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM implementations, preferably in industrial/manufacturing or retail environments.
* Proven experience in SAP EWM configuration, process design, and customization.
* SAP EWM certification is preferred.
Typical Duties and Deliverables:
* Conduct business process mapping and gap analysis for warehouse operations.
* Design and document functional and technical specifications for SAP EWM customizations.
* Configure and test SAP EWM modules, including Warehouse Task Management, Inventory Tracking, and Goods Movement.
* Develop and maintain user manuals, SOPs, and training materials for warehouse teams.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, SAP best practices, and regulatory requirements.
