Responsible for maximizing the business value of customers IT Assets. This position ensures compliance with internal policies and external requirements while optimizing hardware and software asset utilization, managing financial ,technical, and cybersecurity risks, and maximizing the business value of IT investments. The role supports the planning ,procurement, receiving, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement of assets and may focus on hardware, software, or both, depending on organizational needs.

Description
Responsible for maximizing the business value of customers IT Assets. This position ensures compliance with internal policies and external requirements while optimizing hardware and software asset utilization, managing financial ,technical, and cybersecurity risks, and maximizing the business value of IT investments. The role supports the planning ,procurement, receiving, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement of assets and may focus on hardware, software, or both, depending on organizational needs.
- Lead IT Asset Management Program - Ensure department value and outcomes for hardware and software assets.
- Governance & Risk Management - Align program with strategic objectives; reduce financial and audit risks.
- Develop & Maintain ITAM Framework - Create strategies, policies, standards, and processes for asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
- Inventory Management - Maintain accurate hardware/software inventory; perform audits and reconciliations for compliance.
- Lifecycle Oversight - Manage procurement, deployment, upgrades, transfers, reclamation, retirement, and disposal.
- Compliance Management - Ensure adherence to software licenses, hardware warranties, vendor contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Cost Optimization - Track license usage, analyze hardware utilization, negotiate contracts, reclaim assets, and reduce waste.
- Monitor Lifecycle Events - Track warranties, end-of-life, license renewals, and refresh planning.
- Reporting & Analytics - Provide accurate usage metrics, compliance status, financial forecasts, and risk assessments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with IT, procurement, finance, legal, security, and leadership to align practices with organizational goals.
- Subject Matter Expertise - Advise on best practices, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Vendor Management - Oversee relationships and negotiate hardware/software procurement, support contracts, SLAs, and renewals.
- Process Improvement - Identify and implement automation and technology enhancements to boost efficiency.
- Training & Guidance - Educate staff and stakeholders on ITAM tools, compliance, and best practices.
- Data Privacy & Security - Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards during hardware disposal and software decommissioning.
- Team Leadership - Set goals, provide feedback, create development plans, conduct evaluations, and manage hiring/disciplinary actions.
- Workload Coordination - Prioritize tasks, review work, and develop procedures for team effectiveness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of IT asset lifecycle management (procurement, inventory, deployment, maintenance, disposal).
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models, compliance requirements, and contract terms.
- Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization for IT assets.
- Proficiency with IT asset management systems, tools, and methodologies.
- Advanced analytical skills for data wrangling, interpretation, and integrity issue resolution; ability to develop actionable recommendations.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships.
- Ability to communicate technical data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in conducting audits, analyzing usage data, and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service orientation.
- Leadership capabilities: manage, train, and evaluate team performance objectively.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Four years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the degree.
