Job Description:
  • Provides project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.
  • Ensures project deliverables meet clients business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies, and compliance with project management methodologies and frameworks.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Project Candidateagement s Institute s Project Candidateagement Body of Knowledge.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Candidateagement principles, concepts, policies and practices.
  • Ability to make recommendations on the acquisition of software, hardware, and technology resources.
  • Experience managing and coordinating project monitoring, anticipating and troubleshooting issues, providing ongoing expertise, resolving problems, and ensuring project effectiveness.
  • Ability to identify conflict between project and functional areas and develop responses to successfully address conflict.
  • Ability to handle client relationships, manage expectations, provide updates as required, and identify potential conflicts between project and functional areas.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project deliverables meet clients business requirements on time, scope and budget.
  • Communicate effectively, diplomatically and tactfully with multiple stakeholders and ministry branches.
  • Facilitate business process change using structured approaches, methods, and techniques.
  • Plan and lead project deliverables using Agile and Digital approaches.
Skills:
  • Leads organizational development, strategy development, and business planning.
  • Gathers and develops requirements to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and integrated plan.
  • Ability to monitor and forecast project costs and provide reporting to ensure targets are met.
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules, deliverables, and scope.
  • Ability to promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience directing project teams to ensure deliverables meet government and ministry standards.
  • Experience coordinating and monitoring project processes and developing/communicating guidelines.
  • Sources, selects, and onboards team members, sets task expectations, and clarifies roles.
  • Resolves resource and interpersonal conflicts, negotiates changes, and ensures knowledge sharing.
  • Develops complex project budgets with multiple funding channels and cross-ministry dependencies.
  • Candidateages large project budgets with fiscal control and accountability.
  • Proactively identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies.
  • Communicates and prioritizes issues and risks at senior executive levels.
  • Establishes and participates in steering committee and stakeholder forums.
  • Provides project, program, and portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders.
  • Uses strategies to overcome resistance to change and support adoption during all project phases.
  • Promotes standards and best practices for project management to ensure quality and efficiency.
Should Have:
  • Procurement and vendor management experience.
  • Leadership and change management experience.
  • Engagement and communication skills.
  • IT public sector experience.
