Job Details

Tech Valley Talent (TVT) has a great long-term role as a Project Manager

W2 only; not a C2C role


DURATION: 12 Months

LOCATION: Albany, NY- Remote

The Project Manager will recruit Participating Contractors and Retailers for the Appliance Upgrade Program (AUP) and provide technical assistance and desk reviews for scope reviews and installations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience in residential construction and codes required
  • Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Asana, Oracle PeopleSoft, Salesforce
  • Understanding of NYS electrical and plumbing rules and codes and how they are implemented in the field by contractors
  • Experience managing or implementing NYSERDA or utility incentive programs
  • Strength in Salesforce Lightning for report and dashboard building
  • Mission-driven individual who is motivated by NYSERDA's work to solve the world's biggest climate and environmental challenges
  • Polished public speaking and personal engagement; ability to recruit and support retail and contractor partner
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, resourcefulness, adaptability, and instinct for surfacing value and pragmatic solutions
  • A strong customer orientation and work ethic; resolute integrity
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills that resonate with audiences of different backgrounds *demonstrated ability to develop relations with key stakeholder groups; and the ability to communicate persuasively, concisely, and unambiguously in speech and in writing

  • Ability to translate complicated technical concepts into plain language that can be understood and actioned by internal staff and external stakeholders

  • Meticulous attention to detail; strong planning and critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate needs of key stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and enroll Participating Contractors (PC) and Participating Retailers (PR)
  • Develop strategic plan for recruitment based on Program data, current enrollments, and future needs
  • Collaborate with Program partners, such as the NYSERDA Regional Clean Energy Hubs and others, to inform and coordination activities
  • Engage retail and contractor channels to inform them of the Program Opportunity Notice and support them through enrollment
  • Contractor and Retailer Curriculum and Marketing Language Development
  • Using existing Program materials, develop curriculum to onboard PCs and PRs as well as standard marketing language for their use
  • Review Program materials developed independently by PCs and PRs and monitor for new material-Customer, Partner Outreach & Electrical content
  • Collaborate with NYSERDA and NYSERDA partners to promote the Program and connect PRs and PCs with resident
  • Develop and maintain content to assist Customers in understanding their existing electrical conditions and whether they need a PC for installation
  • Scope and Quality Installation Document review
  • Manage intake of Scope and QI documentation submissions by PCs
  • Perform Scope Review per Program requirements prior to installation and submission of QI documentation
  • Perform QI documentation submissions reviews of Project Measures, including all documentation for adherence to applicable NYS and local laws, codes, standards, regulations, and permits
  • Perform outreach to PCs when documentation is missing, incorrect, and/or incomplete
  • Become an expert resource on the Program Manual and other program documentation
  • Coordinate with the Quality & Market Standards (QMS) team and PCs on inspections, recommending, and implementing any required corrective actions
  • Develop and review documentation for use by Customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Model diligent attention to NYSERDA processes and champion process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Codes & Standards team
