Description

We are looking for a Security Analyst to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to safeguard the digital assets of our organization by identifying and mitigating security risks. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in protecting our systems and data while collaborating with C-level executives and legal professionals.

Title: Security Analyst

Location: Dallas, Tx

Rate: 45-55 Per hour

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Responsibilities:

Monitor and investigate security alerts and logs to identify and address potential threats.

Conduct detailed analysis to determine the root cause of security incidents and implement remediation measures.

Enhance and fine-tune security tools and technologies to improve threat detection and reduce false positives.

Assess vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to security controls, policies, and procedures.

Perform proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate risks before breaches occur.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to cybersecurity.

Develop and maintain documentation of security processes and incident response actions.

Provide expert guidance on improving the organization's security posture.

Respond promptly to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring minimal impact to business operations.

Stay updated on emerging threats and industry trends to continuously enhance security measures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Hands-on experience with security tools for queries, analysis, investigation, remediation, and incident response.
Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and technologies.
Strong understanding of cyber threats, endpoint security, and advanced threat detection.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse stakeholders, including executives and attorneys.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to evolving security challenges.
Certification in cybersecurity (or willingness to pursue certification, with employer support).
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
