Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Administrator to support a client based in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and configuring various ServiceNow modules, developing custom solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive scalable improvements within our ServiceNow ecosystem.

Duration: 8-10-week contract

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-5pm - flexible on hours)

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Administration & Configuration
  • Administer and configure ServiceNow modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Service Catalog, Knowledge, and Asset Management.
  • Manage user roles, access controls, and platform security in alignment with organizational policies.

Development & Customization
  • Develop and maintain custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client/server scripts.
  • Create, update, and manage technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.

Systems Integration & Data Management
  • Oversee data imports/exports and manage integrations with third-party systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of the CMDB through regular discovery activities and integrations.
  • Manage scheduled jobs and support the administrative needs for development teams.

Performance & Maintenance
  • Monitor system performance and promptly troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Participate in upgrade and patch management, including testing and deployment planning.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement scalable solutions.
  • Work directly with various business teams to provide technical support and ensure system alignment with business needs.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator in a mid-to-large enterprise setting.
  • Proven experience supporting ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog) with a medium/heavy workload.
  • Experience in managing patches, updates, and overall maintenance tasks with a medium workload.
  • Competency in supporting ITOM (Discovery, Service Operations Workspace) with light to medium responsibilities.
  • Experience in managing the administrative needs of development teams and supporting CMDB/Asset Management with a light workload.
  • Additional experience in supporting change management is beneficial.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in administering various ServiceNow modules.
  • Strong scripting and customization skills within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Familiarity with data management tools and integrations with third-party systems.

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work directly with different business teams and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow certifications are a plus.
