Description
We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning components, particularly in the field of computer vision. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement machine learning models for tasks such as object detection, image classification, and image quality assessment.
Write efficient, production-ready Python code following strong object-oriented design principles.
Work closely with system architects to integrate machine learning components into distributed, message-driven systems.
Create and maintain data-driven workflows for model training, evaluation, and feedback loops.
Optimize model performance to support near real-time applications with high throughput and low latency.
Participate in system-level design discussions to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability.
Collaborate with database, API, and DevOps teams to streamline deployment and testing processes.
Build robust frameworks and systems that go beyond proof-of-concept development.
Document all work thoroughly, including technical designs, diagrams, test plans, and best practices.
Establish effective working relationships with stakeholders, including technology teams, business owners, and clients.
Requirements
Proficiency in computer vision techniques and algorithms.
Strong experience with TensorFlow and other machine learning frameworks.
Solid understanding of machine learning principles and applications.
Expertise in object detection and image classification methods.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and their practical implementations.
Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python.
Experience in optimizing models for real-time workflows.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
