Looking for a dynamic Senior Product Manager to drive product development, feature periodization and Agile team leadership. The company is scaling its platform and requires a dedicated Product Manager to oversee application development, coordinate releases, and ensure product reliability.

Core Competencies

  • Skill with designing scalable, cloud-based, enterprise-class software solutions either as a UX designer, or software engineer
  • Deep understanding of human interface design and/or application programming interface design
  • Skill with leading an Agile product development team composed of UX designers and software engineers
  • Skill with identifying key decision points and building consensus around the best decision for the company
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly when translating technical concepts and jargon for non-technical team members and customers

Core Responsibilities:

  • Being the SCRUM master for at least one software development team
  • Coordinating weekly releases of new features and/or bug fixes for at least one product
  • Be the primary responsible person for the reliability of at least one product
  • Developing technical designs and acceptance criteria and/or developing UX designs and acceptance criteria for new features
  • Working with Project Managers, Technical Support, Account Managers, Sales, and company executives to maintain priority for customer requests and concerns
  • Supporting Project Managers with customer implementations
  • Supporting Technical Support Analysts with root cause analysis for bug reports and issue investigations
  • Supporting UX Designers in developing designs for new features and/or products
  • Supporting Data Analysts in developing reporting tools and products for external and internal purposes

Workflow

Daily:

  • Coordinating/participating in customer-facing meetings to promote, develop, or support products
  • Lead meetings with software engineers to manage releases and remove barriers to completion of issues/tickets
  • Provide rapid responses to customer inquires about anything impacting a product or project you are responsible for
  • Evaluate the reliability and performance of the product(s)/application(s) you are responsible for and take action to address any poor performance

Weekly:

  • Ensure that new code is released to production safely and on schedule, including testing that the acceptance criteria for a given issue/ticket are met prior to release
  • Ensure that your software engineering team is compliant with internal development protocols manage/update product roadmaps, including the specification of priorities and communicate changes in priority to relevant company stakeholders
  • Design new features and/or products in conjunction with engineers and designers
  • Evaluate enhancement requests from customers and determine whether and how these requests are prioritized

Monthly:

  • Lead a review of the performance of your software engineering team in the previous month and determine what actions need to be taken to improve performance
  • Report on the overall performance of the products/applications you are responsible for to leadership using relevant metrics
  • Report on progress with personal OKRs to your manager
