The end client is Finish Line. **Candidates must be willing to relocate to Indianapolis, Indiana prior to the start date** In order to be eligible for this role, consultant must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.** **Candidates MUST have previous experience in managing Workday implementation or integration projects (Workday Financial Module HIGHLY preferred) **Proven track record managing multi-stream Workday integration projects managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders across Finance, HR, and IT. **A solid understanding of the Workday Financials platform and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and resources to ensure successful project completion.
Job Summary:
The Workday Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday Financials implementations and enhancements. This role serves as a bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Workday solutions align with business goals and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Management).
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance, IT, and external consultants.
- Serve as the primary liaison between finance stakeholders and Workday technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and communicate project status.
- Oversee integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial operations.
- Monitor project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirements, test plans, and training materials.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 5 years of project management experience, preferably in financial systems or ERP implementations.
- Experience Managing Workday implementation or integration projects is required.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Workday Financials modules and reporting tools.
- Understanding of system integrations and data migration strategies.
