Job Title: Social Content Designer + Editor (Contract)
Location: Chicago, IL preferred (Open to Remote)
Duration: 5+ Months
Schedule: Part-Time (Approx. 25 40 hours/week)
Role Overview
The Social Content Designer + Editor will develop elevated, engaging, and trend-forward content for social platforms. This role involves bringing brand narratives to life through high-quality visuals, video editing, and content creation tailored for social media formats. Ideal candidates are fluent in digital culture, design-forward, and comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design social-first assets and templates for platforms such as Instagram (Stories, Reels, in-feed, etc.)
Capture, edit, and optimize photo and video content for social media use
Produce narrative-driven video edits aligned with brand tone and aesthetic
Work closely with social and creative teams to concept, storyboard, and refine content
Experiment with trends, motion design, and emerging creative styles to keep content fresh
Qualifications
3 5 years of experience in social content creation and editing
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
Photoshop
Illustrator
Premiere Pro
After Effects (preferred)
Able to both shoot and edit short-form content
Strong eye for layout, composition, typography, and color
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Bonus Skills:
Motion graphics or animation experience
Agency experience
