This is a junior-to-mid-level role for someone interested in how people interact with AI, especially inside tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (through Microsoft 365 Copilot). The job is part designer, part developer, and part AI experimenter. You're helping to create smart, AI-powered workflows that make people's work easier and more intuitive.
Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and energetic Agentic AI UX Engineer to help shape the future of user experiences powered by agentic AI flows. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who brings a strong foundation in computer science and user experience engineering, and is eager to innovate at the intersection of AI, productivity, and responsible design.
As part of our AI innovation team, you will work on designing, prototyping, and refining intelligent user experiences using Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, while also contributing to the development and adherence to AI governance and policy frameworks that ensure ethical and compliant AI usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement user-centric experiences for generative AI applications and agentic workflows.
- Build and iterate on prototypes using Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to translate user needs into intelligent, responsive AI flows.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine AI interactions and improve usability.
- Contribute to the development and application of internal AI governance policies, including responsible AI use, data privacy, and transparency.
- Stay current with trends in generative AI, conversational UX, and Microsoft's AI ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
- Strong understanding of user experience principles and interaction design.
- Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and prompt engineering.
- Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI principles, or policy frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting or low-code/no-code environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for generative AI and a drive to explore its creative potential.
- Must have great communication skills, will interact with several parts of the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, or other Microsoft AI services.
- Portfolio or examples of AI-driven UX projects.
- Understanding of regulatory considerations in AI (e.g., GDPR, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001).
