We are seeking a ServiceNow Business Analyst role in Austin, TX for a long term contract role.

Business Analyst II
*This position requires candidates to be in onsite 4-5 days a week. Candidates must be LOCAL.
Work to be Accomplished:
The ServiceNow Business Analyst (BA) will review, analyze, and evaluate user needs for implementation of ServiceNow.
The BA will work directly with users to define solutions and map requirements for projects and enhancements to the system.
This position will assist users and developers in all phases of sprint and project work, including testing, documenting requirements and test scripts, quality control, functional instructions & training, and communications.
The worker's responsibilities and skills must include:
Previous experience with and expert knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities
Mapping processes and designing technical solutions to address pain points, improving processes, and increasing automation
Gathering business, functional, and non-functional requirements
Defining product themes, epics, user stories, and product features
Facilitating prioritization sessions for the product backlog
Facilitating sprint planning sessions to establish a sprint backlog
Documenting requirements and system design using approved agency formats
Being a creative thinker to solve business issues
Mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements
Assisting in the translation of business requirements into detailed technical specifications
Facilitating and documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows and system design
Writing test cases and scripts to validate code is working as documented
Writing release notes and training documentation
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Experience with general IT SDLC processes
4-7 years of experience working with ServiceNow / ServiceNow projects
Skilled in working on agile projects utilizing Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
Skilled in extracting business, functional, and non-functional requirements from business units and IT staff
Skilled in test case planning and quality assurance reviews of test scripts
Skilled in QA/QC reviews
Experience analyzing raw data
documenting requirements and translating functional requirements to technical specifications
4 7 of experience in establishing and maintaining a sprint backlog
Experience in creating written communications and training for business users
Possess strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff
4 7 years experience in mediating business units with conflicting and competing business requirements
4 7 years experience in facilitating large group meetings with internal and external resources
Preferred Skills:
2 years of experience with one or more state of Texas government agencies
2 years of experience with ServiceNow Security Operations or GRC
2 years of ServiceNow certification
