 Role: Performance Test Engineer

Location: Plano, TX

Duration : 12+Month

Role Description

Develops scripts, executes, and monitors Data Bricks performance tests. Provides recommendations for issue resolutions, improvement of Non-functional aspects and system optimization, etc. Has expertise on performance or DWH-related tools along with hands-on experience. Focuses on non- functional testing with responsibility for segments of test case design and execution.

Key responsibilities

Develops and implements automation /DWH/ performance automation scripts/tools.

Develops coding automation/DWH/performance scripts and automation utilities to be implemented and executed in alignment with the defined scope.

Selects and applies appropriate structural design techniques to ensure that tests provide an adequate level of coverage.

Liaisons with technical peers (e.g., developers, architects, operations engineers) for RCA of technical issues and bottlenecks.

Works closely with peers and leads to resolve technical queries and ensures RCA for all problems for his/her scope of work.

Designs and reviews test cases and scenarios.

Executes test cases, determines full coverage of test scenarios in accordance with plans.

Provides recommendations for resolution of issues and proposes improvements to the code, system optimization and architecture (e.g., introducing specific types of test automation, contributing to the selection of appropriate tools to automate technical testing tasks).

Creates documentation, test ware and work products used in testing activities.

Ensures highest quality documentation for requirement traceability and correctness and ensures compliance with system requirements and specifications, internal standards, and clients' needs.

Effectively participates in and/or leads formal knowledge transfer and informal reviews with peers/stakeholders.

Critical Experiences

3-5 years experience in automation testing/DWH testing/performance testing.

In depth knowledge of DataBricks platform and performance testing tools (LoadRunner, J-meter) and automation tools(Selenium, Python) etc.

Hands-on experience working on at least one relevant tool.

Telecommunication experience/knowledge.

Amdocs business and cross-portfolio knowledge an advantage.

Strong knowledge of application architecture design and technology.

Knowledge of DevOps tools, Jenkins, Git, Dockers extended to Cloud monitoring tools.

Credentials

Bachelor s degree in IT/Computer Science/MCA
