RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Merrimack, NH that is seeking a COBOL Mainframe Developer. This role is a part of the Customer Communications Archive Support team within the Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology organization. The COBOL Mainframe Developer will be dedicated to tasks associated with production stability like incident coordination, operations support, disaster recovery testing, among others. This company offers Write One Read Many (WORM) compliant storage for incoming and outgoing documents. The core of both systems is mainframe based, especially CARP. ncise, only include the tasks that are frequent and impactful to the business.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Good knowledge on CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM and JCL
* CICS System knowledge would be valuable
* Understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process
* Familiar with DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler and debugger tools
* Understanding of Distributed Applications/ System
* Exposure to Brokerage/Finance domain will be an added advantage
* Prior experience of working in highly transactional, fault tolerant and data driven systems
* Ability to identify areas of risk or potential problems and take action to mitigate them and work with less expert staff to mitigate more sophisticated issues
* Ability to apply different communication and leadership styles for different teams and geographies
* Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions
* Ability to build communication and rapport with partners, collaborators

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
