Job Details

Our client is a leader in shipping & logistics specializing in container freight and supply chain solutions. Based in Culver City, CA, they provide innovative and efficient freight forwarding services to global clients. As they continue to scale their data infrastructure, they are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Python, SQL, and Snowflake to join their team. If you're passionate about data, logistics, and optimizing data pipelines to improve business operations, they invite you to be a part of their growing team! As a Data Engineer at their company, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining data infrastructure for their clients' freight operations. You will work on building robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data in their Snowflake data warehouse. You will collaborate with their business and analytics teams to support reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making for logistics and supply chain optimization. Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years in a Data Engineer or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
  • Proficient in Python for ETL and data processing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Snowflake
  • Experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown
  • 80% Data Engineering (Python, SQL, Snowflake)
  • 20% Business Analyst Reporting
Daily Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable ETL pipelines to process large volumes of shipping data, including freight tracking, container inventory, and logistics data
  • Extract, transform, and load data from internal and external systems into the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring high-quality data pipelines
  • Work closely with internal teams to design data workflows that support freight management, order tracking, and customer reporting
  • Manage and optimize the structure and performance of the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and fast query execution for logistics
