Job Title: .NET Developer
Location: Remote (U.S.) | Hybrid | Onsite in St. Paul, MN (if preferred)
Type: Full-time
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
Position Overview:
A statewide government organization is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support the modernization of mission-critical applications used across multiple judicial and administrative offices. The selected candidate will work within the Information Technology Division, which provides application development, enhancement, and modernization services for court and administrative systems.
This position supports a major modernization initiative to retire a legacy SharePoint 2019 platform and enhance an existing .NET-based application that manages examiner resources.
Project Overview:
The developer will collaborate with the Development Services and Support (DSS) team to design, develop, test, and deploy new features, ensuring a smooth transition from the legacy environment. The project follows structured Agile methodologies, operating in three-week sprints with continuous collaboration, code review, and progress reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development and QA teams in planning, coding, testing, and deployment activities.
Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications using modern frameworks and standards.
Ensure all developed components comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
Conduct unit and integration testing to validate performance and reliability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Maintain thorough documentation of design and code artifacts.
Report progress and issues to project leadership and technical supervisors.
Follow established templates, coding standards, and security policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
5 7 years of professional experience in software development with increasing responsibility in analysis, design, and implementation.
Strong hands-on experience with:
ASP.NET / C#
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, MVC framework
Web API
Telerik Controls (or similar UI toolsets)
LINQ and responsive web design principles
Microsoft SQL Server and SQL programming
Experience working within Agile development environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work remotely within the United States.
Must successfully pass a background check prior to engagement.
Must be available during standard business hours (8:00 AM 4:30 PM Central).
