Job Title: Help Desk Technician I

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 6+ Months



Position Overview

We are seeking two Help Desk Technician I professionals to provide first-level technical support within the Technical Services and Operations team. The role involves responding to support requests, troubleshooting routine issues, assisting users of all technical levels, and documenting all incidents in the ticketing system.



Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and in-person
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot routine technical issues
  • Perform basic support tasks: password resets, printer setup, break/fix instructions, website content updates
  • Support onboarding by creating user accounts and configuring hardware
  • Assist with A/V setup and troubleshooting for conference rooms
  • Escalate advanced issues to higher-level support
  • Document all service requests and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Report recurring issues or trends to management
  • Follow pre-documented procedures for complex configurations



Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years delivering exceptional customer service across phone, email, and in-person channels
  • 2+ years supporting users with varying levels of technical proficiency
  • 2+ years troubleshooting computers and supporting Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe tools, etc.
  • 1+ year experience with Active Directory
  • 1+ year experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure)



Preferred Skills

  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA ITF+, or similar certifications
  • Interest in long-term career growth and potential full-time hire
