Demand Analyst
Job Profile Summary
The Demand Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring accurate visibility into resource capacity and demand across enterprise projects and portfolios. This position supports effective resource planning and portfolio execution by maintaining high-quality data in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and collaborating across teams to generate insights, streamline workflows, and improve process maturity.
Job Responsibilities
? Maintain and update project estimates, resource demand, and capacity data in ServiceNow SPM.
? Collaborate with project managers, resource managers, and analysts to support accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
? Monitor resource utilization to identify potential constraints, surpluses, or allocation conflicts.
? Generate and distribute reports and dashboards to communicate capacity and demand trends.
? Partner with process owners and stakeholders to recommend and implement improvements to systems and workflows.
? Ensure compliance with portfolio and resource management data standards.
? Support governance and prioritization processes by providing timely, data-driven insights.
? Surface and escalate capacity risks, data inconsistencies, or planning conflicts as needed.
? Assist with change initiatives aimed at improving data quality, resource planning, and portfolio performance.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
? Bachelor?s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field ? or equivalent combination of education and experience (high school diploma or GED required).
? 2+ years of experience in capacity planning, resource management, project coordination, or portfolio operations.
? Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
? Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities; highly detail-oriented.
? Ability to present findings clearly and confidently across diverse audiences.
? Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other analytics/reporting platforms.
? Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
? Experience identifying process gaps and contributing to workflow or system optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
? Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or similar PPM tools (e.g., Planview, Clarity).
? Familiarity with IT project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
? Exposure to IT resource management or PMO environments.
