Product Owner

We have an immediate need for an Agile centric Sr. Product Owner that will be responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team by ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. This opportunity is 100% remote based, and the initial duration is 12 months. We need someone that has worked with Figma and supported UI/UX teams. Any start up experience is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business sponsors, leaders, other Product Owners to help shape the overall vision of the product, managing various backlog items, deciding which features each product will have according to stakeholder preferences, determining which features should be prioritized for development in the backlog, and communicating with technical teams and users to determine their needs and priorities.
• In collaboration with Business Analysts and the business, write product specifications and user stories. Responsible for supporting Agile ceremonies, including but not limited to Portfolio Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, etc.
• Provide context to the Agile Delivery Team to help build solutions to meet current and future business needs. Regularly review and report on progress relative to business plans and business value in the context of the broader vision.
• Help identify blockers and remove impediments for the Agile Delivery Team by supporting information gathering from relevant business stakeholders and bring issues that disrupt the team to the Scrum Master and/or business lead.
• Understand the core business functions and processes along with the associated systems and data, at a detailed level. Provide guidance on the data sources and elements necessary to support various analysis streams and feature requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working as a product owner, product manager, or similar experience.
• Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field and 8+ years of work experience as a project manager, consultant, or other related experience with managing products or projects with software developers.
• Experience with Agile software development, specifically SCRUM framework.
• Ability to work / review design assets.
• Product experience with cloud-based systems.
• Technical experience developing software or working in a technical environment.
• Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product management, operations, engineering, UX/UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing. Understanding of go-to-market commerce enablers.
• Ability to work/review design assets inside of Figma (preferred).
• Experience in the commercial energy space.
• Familiarity with data analysis including structured query language (SQL), statistical analysis tools such as R, and scripting languages such as Python.
• Direct experience with go-to-market (sales and marketing) focused products, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
