DATA GOVERNANCE PROJECT LEAD
Essential Skills for Success in this Position
The Data Governance Product Lead is responsible for championing data governance initiatives across business units, providing consulting, training, and support to ensure strategic projects effectively leverage data governance for maximum value.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business units to align data governance capabilities with strategic priorities.
- Develop and implement an enterprise data governance roadmap that incorporates business requirements.
- Support the enhancement of the enterprise-wide data governance framework, focusing on data quality and alignment.
- Capture and document requirements, performing system analysis to prioritize the product backlog for data governance capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and education on data governance best practices to business units.
- Analyze data-related issues and identify opportunities for improvement while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in Data Governance, with a focus on technical roadmap creation, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (STEM or Business).
- Proven experience in senior management roles with Board-level change or transformation leadership.
- Expertise in leading data cataloging, protection, and quality management practices.
- Strong knowledge of data governance practices and issues related to enterprise information asset management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and training.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10%.
