Job Details
Our client, a government integrator located in Longmont, CO, is looking to hire 2 Secret cleared (or TS SCI) Database Engineers for a 12-month onsite contract. The consultants will work onsite in on a 9*80 schedule. The 9*80 work schedule is set up so that the employee charges 9-hours M-Th and 8-hours on Friday the first week (44 hours), and 9-hours M-Th with an off Friday the following week (36 hours).
The Database Engineer will be supporting the Ground Infrastructure Team which is comprised of a technical team of System Administrators, DevSecOps engineers, software, cyber, and integration engineers who successfully support program requirements and commitments. The Database Engineers will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the database infrastructure to support various product teams database needs. The focus of this role will be on creating a robust and reliable platform, with an emphasis on high availability, security, and scalability, rather than data management or analytics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database infrastructure development, security, and maintenance, and will be able to collaborate effectively with the technical team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills:

Required Skills:
- Must have minimum of an active Secret clearance
- Minimum of 7+ years experience
- RHEL Linux knowledge and experience
- Advanced Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms
- High-availability
- Clustering and automated failover
- Architecture design and implementation
- Implementing security technical implementation guidelines (STIGs)
- Backup methodologies
- Great interpersonal and effective communications skills working in a team environment
- Experience working with multiple development teams and integrating product environments
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift
- Experience with KVM and VMWare virtualization platforms
- Experience with Agile processes
- Experience with satellite ground systems
- OPIR program experience/exposure
- Experience with configuration management and change management process implementation
- Automated scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & unit test experience
- Experience coding in Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with lean and/or other Continuous Process Improvement frameworks
- Experience with security data classification guidelines
- Experience with creating CONOPS and procedural documentation
