Job Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Appian Developer or Appian Architect to join our team in delivering advanced, enterprise-grade applications built on the Appian BPM platform. This role is not for traditional low-code/no-code developers we are looking for a true expert who thrives on building complex, custom-coded Appian solutions that go far beyond drag-and-drop interfaces.

The ideal candidate has multiple years of experience working with deeply customized Appian environments, writing intricate logic, building robust integrations, and architecting scalable systems. You will play a key role in shaping and supporting a mission-critical codebase that underpins sophisticated business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and implement complex Appian applications with heavy custom logic and code beyond typical low-code usage.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather and analyze detailed business requirements.
  • Manually write advanced Appian SAIL interfaces, process models, expressions, and custom integrations.
  • Ensure code scalability, performance, and maintainability through clean architecture and coding best practices.
  • Mentor junior Appian developers and conduct in-depth code reviews.
  • Resolve performance issues, technical bottlenecks, and production incidents effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on Appian platform changes and introduce advanced features to enhance capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 7+ years of software development experience, with 3 5+ years focused on Appian BPM.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering complex, custom Appian applications not just low-code workflows.
  • Deep understanding of Appian architecture, custom SAIL development, expression rules, and Appian Records.
  • Expertise in manual code development within Appian, with advanced knowledge of its internal functions and configuration capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, REST/SOAP integrations, and working with relational databases.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Appian Certified Lead Developer or higher (Architect preferred).
  • Experience with large-scale Appian implementations in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Prior experience leading development teams or serving in a technical leadership role.
