Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAS Programmer to join our Data Insights Team. This role involves supporting multiple reporting platforms by developing Excel and PDF reports using Base SAS, based on business requirements. The ideal candidate will also contribute to system testing and participate in the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in requirements gathering and design sessions to develop or enhance system components using SAS and business intelligence tools.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Develop, test, and maintain reports and system components using Base SAS.
- Follow standard change control, configuration management, and development lifecycle practices.
- Reuse existing source code where applicable to improve efficiency.
- Conduct component testing and document system defects.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on design and development standards.
- Recommend improvements to development processes and best practices.
- Support the platform as part of a 24-hour on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- 5+ years of advanced SAS programming and administration experience.
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with system administration and on-call support processes.
