Job Details

Description
The Executive Office of Education (EOE) is seeking a Salesforce Developer to add to our application
development/support team.
This person will be responsible for developing new code and supporting existing code hosted across the Massachusetts
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website properties. This position will work with
stakeholders and the development team to design, develop and support Salesforce and related applications using industry
standard practices and tools.
EOE IT follows a lean/agile development methodology. The ideal candidate should be able to work in all tiers of the
architecture and have experience with the Sales Force platform and integrations with external systems, as well as
experience with transformation from Salesforce Classic to Lightning. They will also have experience in all phases of
software development - design, development, unit testing, QA test support and defect remediation specific to Salesforce
platform, as well as experience performing Salesforce admin duties.
Responsibilities
1. The Salesforce developer is responsible for collaborating with the EOE/DESE Organization, Project
Managers, Architect, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance, in the process of creating software
deliverables and artifacts.
2. As a member of the team, you must adhere to the organization's methodologies and standards, and
propose improvements based on software development best practices.
3. Perform Lightning Web Component Development and Integration platforms development support
(enhancements, bug fixes).
4. Proficiency in using OmniStudio tools such as OmniScript, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration
Procedures.
5. Familiarity with JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) data structures and JavaScript for customizing
OmniStudio components.
6. Participation in efforts including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, roll out and documentation
creation.
7. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to discuss current tasks and weekly status reports.

7+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer with OmniScript and LWC
a. Handle development of new business requirements using Lightning Web Components, Lightning Flows,
OmniScript, Apex Batches and Triggers, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other solutions.
b. Experience with programming languages such as SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, Apex, Lightning Web
Components, and CSS. experience with batch data and real-time stream processing on the Salesforce
platform.
c. Experience with Application Development & Configuration including Lightning App Builder, Flows,
Validations rules, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
d. Deep expertise in developing multistep complex UI pages using the LWC framework and OmniScript.
e. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Omniscript development
f. Experience with complex Salesforce API integration for applications residing on various platforms.
Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs,
Middleware, and other integration tools.
g. Implemented Async processing solutions with Platform events, Async Apex, Queueable Apex, CDC,
Lightning Message Service etc.
h. Extensive understanding of Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities) development and customization.
i. Experience with OmniStudio deployment tools such as IDX Workbench, Vlocity Build Tool (VBT), and
Salesforce CLI.
j. Collaborate with junior developers to perform code reviews and provide feedback.
k. Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting
conventions and Salesforce policies/procedures.
l. Mentor and provide guidance to the development team members.
4. Platform Developer I, II & Omnistudio Developer Certification is a must
5. Preferred Skills:
a. Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)
b. Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $74.00/hr.
