The location in Plymouth, (North Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Electrical Reliability Engineer. This job is full-time permanent.

Essential Functions
  • Identify reliability opportunities, design improvements and oversee implementation in coordination with Operations & Maintenance personnel
  • Monitoring, maintaining and continuously improving the maintenance and reliability program (including PDMA, AMS, Rockwell drive systems, motor bearing lubrication, IR inspections)
  • Perform Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) reviews of critical or unreliable equipment
  • Monitor production area lubrication practices
  • Interprets schematics, references component datasheets, and performs circuit analysis and sensitivity analyses on digital, analog, and power designs
  • Interfaces with design engineering during the development phase to ensure design meets safety, reliability, and derating performance targets
  • Performs component stress analyses and component derating calculations
  • Performs Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Failure Modes Effects Analyses (FMEA), and Failure Modes Critical Effects Analyses (FMECA)
  • Develops Fault Trees and performs Fault Tree Analyses (FTA)
  • Develops or provides assistance with System Safety Assessments
  • Writes plans, procedures, and reports related to safety, stress, and reliability
  • Participates in Front End Loading activities on capital and expense projects as appropriate
  • Drives 8D and FA projects towards successful implementation of solutions
  • Reviews Engineering Change Requests for their impact on Quality and Reliability (Q&R)
  • Conducts gap assessments primarily through periodic audits to gauge effectiveness of maintenance and reliability work processes
  • Review & Revise equipment criticalities in CMMS
  • Leads RCFA investigations around electrical/instrumentation/controls failures
  • Lead refinement of the mill predictive and preventative maintenance programs

Education and Experience
  • Previous work experience in a Pulp and Paper manufacturing environment is preferred
  • The candidate must demonstrate they have superior communication skills as a primary responsibility for this position will be frequent interaction with internal and external customers to address technical issues
  • In depth knowledge of Allen Bradley and Rockwell control packages is preferred
  • This position requires an individual that can perform with minimal direct supervisory support
  • Demonstrated ability to interface and disseminate technical information across functions to achieve results at a plant level
  • Knowledge of design and development processes is expected
  • High Voltage distribution experience in an industrial facility is preferred
  • Knowledge of Power system operation and maintenance
  • Candidate should have BE / ME in Electrical Engineering with 1 to 3 years of experience as an Electrical Reliability Engineer in Pulp and Paper, Oil and Gas, manufacturing industry, Polyester, Polymer, Petrochemical, Refinery industry
