Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for directing/driving Vertex business and increasing its revenue, identifying and developing new public sector clients, business opportunities and building and expanding the presence of Vertex and its brands.

Identify opportunities to expand services within existing state accounts.

Interact and communicate directly with IT hiring managers on a regular basis via phone; email and in person meetings to understand their business initiatives and IT needs.

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned state clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.

Work closely with state agencies to understand staffing needs, project requirements, and organizational goals.

Analyze client requirements to ensure appropriate sourcing and presentation of candidates.

Collaborate with internal teams including Recruiting, HR, and compliance to align staffing solutions with client expectations.

Stay up to date on state contracting laws, procurement policies, and agency-specific protocols.

Prepare reports and provide regular updates to both internal leadership and client stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Current relationships and network with IT hiring managers at various State Agencies in OH or PA.

Bachelor s degree in business, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related field (Master s preferred).

Ten years of experience working for state agencies or government clients, preferably in a consulting, procurement, or staffing role.

Strong understanding of public sector staffing processes, and state contracts.

Familiarity with state procurement platforms and systems (e.g., eProcurement, Vendor Portals).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or ATS platforms.

Experience working on RFP/RFQ s for OH and PA IT staff augmentation positions and SOW work.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in a consulting organization s environment.
