Duration:  6- 12 months

We are seeking a Microsoft Purview Architect to lead a
phased implementation of Microsoft Purview alongside Microsoft Fabric as the
enterprise data catalog and governance layer. The architect will deliver
environment configuration, AD?€'based role mapping, custom connector development for
Oracle Fusion, Fabric scanning and lineage, classification, and workflow
automation, UAT support, and post?€'production sustainment. The initial focus is Oracle
Fusion Finance, expanding to HCM and other domains, with discovery of
Salesforce, Procore, and UKG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purview Environment Configuration

  • Configure
and harden the Microsoft Purview environment to meet the project's
    governance, security, and operational requirements.

  • Define
scanning topology, storage integration, and connectivity to Fabric and
    Azure data services.

  • Role
    Design and AD Integration

  • Define
user roles (data steward, data owner, data consumer, governance admin)
and map each role to Active Directory groups for RBAC enforcement.

  • Implement
role provisioning patterns and access review processes tied to AD groups.

  • Stakeholder
    Engagement and Source Discovery

  • Lead
discussions with business stakeholders to collect metadata, ownership,
and usage requirements for Oracle Fusion (Finance priority, HCM
secondary), Fivetran pipelines into Fabric, and discovery for Salesforce,
    Procore, and UKG.

  • Capture
source?€'specific constraints to minimize impact on production systems.

  • Custom
    Connector and Scanning

  • Design
and implement a custom connector to scan Oracle Fusion Cloud and ingest
    metadata into Purview.

  • Configure
Purview scanning for Microsoft Fabric and Fivetran pipelines to capture
    assets, lineage, and classification metadata.

  • Lineage,
    Contacts, and Asset Enrichment

  • Populate
and validate end?€'to?€'end lineage across Oracle Fusion, Fabric pipelines,
    and downstream analytics.

  • Update
    asset metadata with contacts, owners, stewards, and business context;
ensure lineage and contact information are maintained programmatically
    where possible.

  • Classification
    Rules and Workflow Automation

  • Define
custom sensitivity classification rules for Finance and HR datasets in
    collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Build
and test automated classification, tagging, and remediation workflows in
Purview and Fabric; iterate and re?€'run scans to validate results.

  • Scheduling
    and Operationalization

  • Implement
periodic scan schedules, classification re?€'runs, and data quality
    triggers to support ongoing governance.

  • Define
monitoring, alerting, and escalation for scan failures, classification
    drift, and data quality exceptions.

  • UAT,
    Documentation, and Handover

  • Provide
UAT support, create test cases, and coordinate stakeholder sign?€'off.

  • Deliver
implementation documentation, runbooks, governance playbooks, and provide
post?€'production support and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

and governance platforms, including building custom connectors.

    governance.
