Functional Data Domain Lead Finance & Accounting

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design, integration, and governance of Finance and Accounting data across systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  2. Partner with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand their data needs, challenges, and strategic objectives related to financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
  3. Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams to design and implement scalable, automated, and auditable data solutions aligned with business and compliance standards.
  4. Oversee data flows between core financial systems (e.g., general ledger, sub-ledgers, consolidation, and reporting systems) and the enterprise data platform.
  5. Support the development of a Finance data roadmap to enable enhanced analytics, automation, and integration with enterprise performance management tools.
  6. Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure consistent financial reporting and data alignment across actuals, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
  7. Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in financial data management, reporting automation, and analytics.
  8. Provide clear communication and transparency to stakeholders on project progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming deliverables.
  9. Minimum of 12+ years of relevant professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or data-related functions within the financial services or insurance industry.
