Job Details
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Observability Engineer / Splunk Developer with strong expertise in building observability frameworks, data pipelines, and monitoring systems across cloud and distributed environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge in AWS, Kubernetes, and observability tools, along with strong scripting and automation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust observability pipelines for collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
- Work with internal teams to establish a factory model for onboarding applications to Splunk.
- Build scalable data pipelines for ETL, data normalization, and ontological processes.
- Develop and expand Pub/Sub models and event-driven architectures.
- Define metric and instrumentation standards, ensuring alignment with OpenTelemetry (OTel).
- Analyze telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) to identify trends and optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents using observability insights.
- Collaborate with Development, SRE, and Cloud teams to integrate observability practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging observability, logging, and monitoring technologies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and support knowledge sharing across teams.
Required Technical Skills
- Splunk (preferred) or other observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK Stack).
- Strong understanding of AWS services (Redshift, RDS, etc.); AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes; CKA or CKAD certification highly desirable.
- Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in REST API integration and automation.
- Familiar with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience creating dashboards and templates (OOB, ITSI integration).
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business teams.
- Experience in insurance domain preferred.
- Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or Observability platforms are a plus.
