We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to help us Lead Engineering Team and design/build scalable Lists & Registries systems serving multiple market/tenants. Own End to end solutions partnering across Business/Product/Program and Engineering teams

Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

What You Will Do
As Director of Engineering, you will be managing a team of 40+ engineers over time. The role entails the following responsibilities:
- Technically lead and mentor a high-performance engineering team, engineering managers and provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure delivery of high-quality products
- Build and manage relations with the business partners and understand their business requirements. Closely work with the Product Management, Architects, and cross-functional teams
- Work with stakeholders to define the future roadmap of the products, adopt latest technology innovation wherever necessary
- Build tools and automation to prevent re-occurrence of problems to mission-critical products and services and engender reliability and availability, starting with metrics and measurements
- Define engineering practices, product development patterns and drive products development to scale to Walmart requirements.
- Follow agile methodologies and program practices in product development lifecycle and focus on team productivity improvements using right tools and processes.
- Hire talent, mentor and grow the team.
- Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve customer issues.
What You Will Bring
- Domain expertise in software development
- Strong engineering leadership expertise in medium to large size company.
- Proven experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineering teams.
- Leading largescale systems in fast-paced environments,
- Expertise in multiple distributed technologies
- Experience in one or more public cloud technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.
- Experience in working in large teams using CI/CD and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Being an admired subject matter expert in one or multiple technology areas
- Directing and reviewing architectural artifacts (for example, proof of concepts, prototypes, architectural design) and providing valuable recommendations for improvements
