What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical System, Externals & Nacelles Module Center Engineering (MSEN) organization is seeking a Mechanical Systems and Externals - Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Engineer to be a part of the Engineering support team for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activity as the MRO Engineer (MRO-E) onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our US Air Force customer at the US Air Force Depot at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. This team is responsible for all Mechanical Systems and Externals hardware for the F135, F119, F100, TF33, and J52 programs.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles Engineering (MSEN) organization is responsible for the design, development and in-service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings gears and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.
The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

What You Will Do

- Be an active member of the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT), which includes trending updates and technical changes, supporting Lead the Fleet ACIs, and supporting DEEP activities to help our military customers better maintain their engine fleet.
- Review and disposition MRB hardware, support Component Improvement Program (CIP) tasks, and work as the onsite representative supporting engine/hardware investigations.
- Assist Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel on field support and quality issues.
- Travel up to 10% (domestic and international).
What You Will Learn
- Experience with Mechanical components and Externals plumbing systems products.
- Procedural knowledge associated with the aftermarket sustainment and overhaul of military engines.
- Military customer and P&W leadership engagement opportunities (Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT), System Integrated Product Team (SIPT), Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT).
- Leadership skills development.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Theoretical knowledge of engine hardware.
- Basic knowledge of engineering analytical tools and documentation sources.
- Previous hardware experience with Externals or Mechanical Components products is a plus.
- Ability to operate across a wide range of disciplines.
