? Job Title: UX Researcher - Internal Tools & Incident Management

? About the Team

Join Azure X-an innovative UX group within Azure Core-dedicated to elevating Microsoft's engineering and developer experiences. This team focuses on improving internal systems that handle outages and incidents, driving operational excellence at scale.
? What You'll Do

As a UX Researcher, you'll independently run weekly rapid research cycles aimed at improving Microsoft's internal incident management tools. Youll gather insights that directly inform product decisions and drive impactful change across high-visibility engineering systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead fast-turnaround UX studies including usability tests, concept evaluations, and workflow analyses
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement research-driven solutions
  • Analyze data and deliver concise reports tailored to diverse stakeholders-including executives
  • Advocate for user needs in the development of tools that streamline outage mitigation
? Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry experience post-graduation (ideally 5-7)
  • Education: Flexible-no specific degree required
  • Research Autonomy: Proven ability to run full-cycle UX studies without oversight
Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft's Incident and Case Management (ICM) system or equivalent large-scale tooling
  • Track record of delivering executive-facing written reports under tight timelines
  • Experience in agile, rapid-test environments
