Commercial Electrical Estimator
Job Title: Commercial Electrical Estimator - Electrical Construction
Location: Denver, CO on-site
Salary: $85k-$120k DOE
Requirements: Journeyman Electrician or BS in Engineering Preferred, 3+ Years exp in Electrical Estimating in Commercial Construction, ACCUBID, McCormicks, or similar Estimating Software will be considered
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction estimating and will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for various commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects
- Review project plans and specifications to identify necessary materials and labor
- Utilize estimating software, including Accubid, to generate accurate cost estimates
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analysis to ensure competitive bidding
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to assess project requirements
- Stay updated on electrical codes and compliance standards, including NEC compliance
- Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to clients
- Manage project timelines and assist in project management as needed
- Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the estimating process
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician certification preferred, Degree in Electrical Engineering also desireable
- 3yrs + Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in Commercial Construction
- Strong knowledge of estimating software, particularly ACCUBID
- Excellent blueprint reading skills
- Familiarity with electrical codes and compliance regulations
- Experience in cost analysis and bid preparation
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electrical estimating tools
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
