The Data and AI Enablement organization is hiring an experienced systems architect to lead the development and implementation of the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Data Ecosystem (LM EDE) In-a-Box (IAB) solution. The IAB solution will act as an appliance, combining hardware and software in a preconfigured way, allowing for the deployment of LM EDE instances across classified, international, and LMI environments.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing systems and automation that enable deployment, maintenance, security, and scalability of analytics capabilities in the form of LM EDE across Lockheed Martin. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify requirements and design a near zero-touch deployment and lifecycle management solution enabling programs and groups to quickly and easily deploy analytics capabilities into program and international environments.
This role requires a strong understanding of bare metal and virtual hardware configuration, software deployment automation frameworks, containers, container orchestration, and cloud computing concepts. You will be working with cross-functional teams to ensure the ecosystem meets the required functional, performance, security, and compliance requirements as well as ensuring the quality and robustness of automation and other deliverables.
Your Key Responsibilities will include the following:
Designing and architecting the LM Enterprise Data Ecosystem (EDE) In a Box (IAB) for classified and international deployments, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with Lockheed Martin's security protocols and regulatory requirements
Developing and maintaining detailed architecture diagrams, documentation, and technical guides for IAB
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the data ecosystem
Developing and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate deployment and management of the data ecosystem
Developing architecture and interfaces for observability, monitoring, and logging tools, such as Dynatrace and Splunk, to ensure real-time visibility into the data ecosystem's performance and security
Troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing technical guidance and support to engineering and operations teams
Ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin's security protocols and regulatory requirements, including data sovereignty, export controls, and international security standards
Developing and maintaining technical roadmaps and strategic plans for IAB solution, aligning with Lockheed Martin's overall technology strategy
Collaborating with international teams to ensure successful deployment and operation of the IAB solution in international environments

Basic Qualifications
Strong understanding of bare metal and virtual hardware configuration, including server architecture, storage, and networking
In-depth experience of container orchestration using Kubernetes and OpenShift
Experience with software deployment automation tools such as Helm, Ansible, or Puppet
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Strong networking skills, including understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and load balancing
Experience with classified program operations, including security protocols and compliance requirements
Experience with hardware/software deployments
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
