About the Role
We re looking for a proactive Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to help strengthen our workplace safety programs, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives. This position is ideal for an EHS professional who enjoys working hands-on in a manufacturing or industrial environment and wants to make a visible impact on safety culture and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures in line with federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead or assist in incident investigations, hazard assessments, and corrective action implementation.
Partner with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure safe design and installation of new equipment and processes.
Develop and deliver safety training programs and promote employee engagement in EHS activities.
Maintain expertise in critical safety topics such as machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics.
Contribute to sustainability and environmental management initiatives, including ISO 14001 or related certifications.
Coordinate with auditors, agencies, and insurance representatives during inspections or assessments.
Foster a positive and collaborative safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Environmental, Safety, or Occupational Health, or in a technical/engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction setting.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional EHS projects.
Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CHMM, ISO Auditor) are a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
