Job Details
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled RTAC Consultant with expertise in RTAC programming, distribution automation, and industrial communication protocols. This role involves configuring and integrating SEL RTAC equipment with field devices, testing 4G modem connectivity, and supporting documentation efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in electric utility environments and a strong understanding of SCADA systems and DER integration. Key Responsibilities Test 4G modem connectivity with SEL RTAC (Real-Time Automation Controller) equipment. Configure and integrate SEL RTAC with field devices including: Field Regulator Controllers MOAB (Motor-Operated Air Break) Controllers Capacitor Bank Controllers Set up and commission Sentient Fault Location Sensors. Configure and test DER (Distributed Energy Resource) inverters in a lab setting. Assist with documentation including design specifications, test reports, and configuration records. Required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in: RTAC programming Distribution automation DNP protocol Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Familiarity with SCADA systems and architectures. Experience with 4G to OT (Operational Technology) network integration. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ADMS, SCADA, and 4G technologies. High likelihood of contract extension. Expertise in grid infrastructure and communications (P4 - Expert level). Education: Bachelors Degree
